Human Factors of Vulnerability to Forest Fires in Mediterranean Wildland Urban Interfaces. An interdisciplinary Approach.
Abstract
The purpose of the project is to identify human processes running on a territory leading to vulnerability generation or persistence to forest fire risk. This requires the assessment of local vulnerability through a physical model, and the specification of a socio economic model for the assessment of anthropogenic vulnerability. Sociologic investigations will then identify human processes leading to vulnerabilities. Output knowledge will be able to be used as decision support elements in order for decision makers to improve corrections of these processes.
